KYOSHO ORIGINAL 1/18scale Lamborghini Countach LP500S (Red) [No.KS08320B]

The revolutionary Countach was the first production car to ever feature the scissor doors that became a signature design feature embedded into Lamborghini’s identity. The Countach is regarded as the King of Supercars and still loved by many throughout the world. First released in 1974 as the successor to the Lamborghini Miura, the LP600S was continually produced with only minor changes until 1990. The LP400S incorporated some Wolf modifications (rear wing was optional), but the LP500S featured the larger bore and stroke of the Wolf Countach 5ℓ (officially 4.8ℓ) V12 to be closer in appearance and content to the original Wolf specifications. The model became known as the ‘5000S’ around the world as this was the name created for launch into the North American market. Delivering power performance (375㎰/41.8 kg-m) that surpassed the LP400S and forming its reputation in the new US market, the Countach was re-established as a world Supercar. Further refinement increased displacement to 5.2ℓ and incorporated a 4-valve head to boost output to a massive 455ps in the 5000QV (Quattrovalvole) to compete with its Ferrari Testarossa rival. 323 LP500s models were produced between 1982 and 1985, compared to 235 of the LP400S (several theories exist regarding production volumes).
