KYOSHO ORIGINAL 1/43scale Subaru Impreza S201 (Silver) [No.KSR43117S]
Description
STI is integral to Subaru’s motorsports activity through the development and marketing of aftermarket parts. In April 2000, STI produced a limited release of 300 complete cars. This was the beginning of STI high-performance sports cars that continue to this day and was also the test case for STI to forge a different path for Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries at the time), away from its rally image. The ‘Electra One’ concept car was based on the first Impreza WRX exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1999 and 2000 and was released almost unchanged into the market. While its aero form attracted plenty of attention for its flashy looks, the Electra One showcased Subaru’s knowledge of aerodynamics gained from its wind tunnel facility. The engine generated 300ps which exceeded the self-regulated limit at the time and "pillow ball" suspension used upper mounts and struts to adjust vehicle ride height according to damping force. Subaru focused on delivering total excellence in the STI model, including its drive system which incorporated helical LSD in the front and many other specially developed parts.
