SAMURAI 1/18scale SUBARU WRX STI NBR CHALLENGE 2022 [No.KSR18058A]
Description
■ Resin model
■ Shield body
The Nürburgring 24 Hours is known as one of the world’s toughest races and the ultimate testing ground for man and machine. The Subaru STI has been competing in the SP3T (2-liter turbo class) since 2008 and this 4th generation was the last VAB-spec WRX STI, competing in 2022. Using the same body as the production car model, aero parts such as wide fenders, wing and under diffuser are equipped to increase the overall length and width and create its intimidating racecar-like styling. With the EJ20 engine proven over many years in the WRC (World Rally Championship) outputting the highest displacement in its class, balanced performance is realized from the WRC torque-oriented expertise gained from its WRC capabilities that maximize restrictor (intake restriction) effectiveness. While 340ps is lacking for a 2-liter turbo racing engine, the 47kg-m of torque is higher than 3-liter turbo class engines on the market. Having qualified 1st in its class, it retired in the final race and was unable to finish.
