      • About FAST & FURIOUS

First released in 2001, FAST & FURIOUS became an instant global hit. Known for its high-octane street races and the intense drama of car-obsessed characters, the film’s real appeal lies in its outrageous machines and unforgettable chase scenes.

Among the many cars that appear in the series, two stand out as true icons from the 1st film:

Brian O’Conner’s Toyota Supra which was driven by the late Paul Walker, and Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger, played by Vin Diesel.

Brian’s Supra begins as a near-scrap shell that is rebuilt and tuned with his crew until it becomes a Ferrari-beating monster. Dom’s Charger on the other hand is a treasured keepsake from his father, patiently stored in the garage as he dreams of bringing it back to life.

These two legends collide in the film’s dramatic climax: a head-to-head street showdown, launching over a railroad crossing just moments before a train blasts through. It’s a scene etched into the memory of fans worldwide.

The FAST & FURIOUS series is known for its wide cast of cars, but across all films, these two machines remain the most beloved and iconic of them all.

      • Kyosho Original Mini Car Series

First launched in 1991, the Kyosho Original Mini Car Series showcases Kyosho’s long history of producing exquisite mini cars. Today, the series includes various scales such as 1/12, 1/18, and 1/43, but it originally started with the 1/18 scale. By utilizing this relatively large size for a diecast mini car model, the series has maintained its founding philosophy of accurately replicating the proportions of real vehicles while featuring high levels of detail in areas such as the engine and interior.

      • What is a Die-Cast Model?

A die-cast model is a miniature car made using a body formed by pouring molten non-ferrous alloy into a metal mold. This type of model is well-suited for mass production. While it cannot achieve the same level of fine detail as a resin model, it offers the unique appeal of metal, including a solid weight, durability, and minimal aging over time.

    • A supercharger protruding through the hood is the car’s most iconic feature. Three circular intake valves open and close in sync with throttle input, drawing in air. That scene is one of those unforgettable on-screen moments.

    • Lift the massive hood to see the hallmark of American muscle, the V8 engine. The chrome-finished engine bay is a sight to behold, with red plug wires and blue hoses adding striking accents that elevate the whole setup.

    • Tires play a crucial role in effectively transferring the V8’s power. This die-cast model reproduces the drag-spec tires as well as the reinforced shock absorbers. Although the exhaust isn’t visible, the real car uses a straight-through layout that exits beneath the chassis.

    • Opening the door reveals a robust roll cage that not only provides safety but also significantly increases body rigidity. Reminiscent of an American stock-car racer, the contrast against the black body is striking.
