Announced in January 2002 and released on February 26 the same year, it was sold in a strictly limited run of 1,000 units combined with the M-spec Nür. Derived from the Nürburgring, the “Nür” badge signified the GT-R’s technical prowess, defined by its N1-spec RB26DETT engine that shared its foundation with endurance racing units featuring weight-matched pistons and connecting rods. Official output remained at 280 ps at 6,800 rpm and 392 Nm at 4,400 rpm, but real-world durability and tuning potential were significantly elevated.
